Dating from early in the 19th century and of standard, two tier form, this pine table has acquired a unique and very sculptural character as a result of the prolonged attentions of a cat, or cats, using the legs as convenient scratching posts. The three plank top also has considerable character imparted by repeated scrubbing and general use over a couple of centuries. Glamorganshire/Carmarthenshire circa 1820.
