Superbly Patinated Oak Cupboard Dresser with Fruitwood Rack
A splendid oak dresser base, dating from early in the eighteenth century, substantially constructed of richly patinated timber, the two drawer fronts each decorated with a pair of fielded panels above a pair of similarly panelled doors flanking two rectangular panels. The sides have a single large rectangular fielded panel. Later brassware in appropriate style.
The fruitwood plinth and open-backed rack also richly patinated and added, probably, a century or so later, in around 1820. The base, circa 1720.
