Rare Sycamore Welsh Spoon Rack
A Welsh spoon rack of traditional, stepped form. Most Welsh spoon racks are made from oak or pine. Unusually, this one is made from sycamore which has acquired a rich colour and excellent patina. Each of the three tiers is pierced to accommodate six cawl spoons.
Probably from Carmarthenshire, circa 1800-1820.
